SFI Certified Greeting Cards

SFI is proud to offer a line of greeting cards that feature nature photographs of scenes from North American forests. These cards, printed on SFI-certified paper, are a perfect way to send your holiday wishes, birthday greetings or thank-you notes to clients, friends, family and colleagues.

Cards may be purchased for $1.25 US per card.

Discounts are available for bulk orders
50 cards for $1.00 per
100 cards for $0.75 per

Select the quantity you wish to order for each card, enter your contact information, and click “Submit Order”. SFI will reply to your note within 2 days, advising the total cost and confirming the order. SFI will request that you forward a check to their head office. Once SFI receives the check they will express post your order (postage and handling is included in the per unit cost.) Given the urgency to fill orders for Christmas, SFI will send the cards upon receipt of order for the month of December

French Fort Cove

A typical scene of heavy snowfall in Northern New Brunswick. The large mature trees along the edge of this cove are a good example of a well established buffer zone as required by the SFI Standard.

Important nesting and foraging areas, like this one in Grand Forks, British Columbia, are protected. The timing of forest practices in close proximity to nesting habitat is planned to minimize risk of disturbance during this critical life stage.

Pine Grosbeak

Pine Grosbeaks, like the one featured on this card, are regularly seen during the winter in SFI certified forests of the Northeastern US and Eastern Canada. Its presence is a sign of nearby trees with abundant buds, seeds, and fruit.

Michigan Pine Forest

SFI's science–based standard was developed to promote sustainable forest management in North America. The SFI forest standard includes measures to protect water quality, biodiversity, wildlife habitat, species at risk and Forests with Exceptional Conservation Value – and calls for prompt reforestation of harvested areas.

Atlantis Fritillary

Butterflies are good indicators of biodiversity. This fritillary regularly visits flowers near boreal forest edge habitats. The Washington Department of Natural Resources and Weyerhaeuser are currently conducting research on SFI-certified forests to develop best management practices for preventing negative impacts to butterfly habitat.

Pileated Woodpecker

These majestic birds require large diameter trees to nest and forage. Earlier in 2008, SFI presented a conservation leadership award to UPM-Kymmene, Time Inc., Bird Studies Canada, Nature Conservancy Canada, and the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources for partnering on a study to examine the effects of harvesting on indicator bird species such as these.
